Re: Magnificent birds...They really are magnificent. Actually, they are not tethered. The straps you see on their ankles are not attached to a tether. They were flying all over the cage. I think the smaller of the two needs a bit more recovery, then it will be released. The larger one has had human imprint from it's youth and cannot survive in the wild. Some of the raptors at this center have names and are being used for educational purposes. Most of the birds that are being rehabilitated or recovering are kept in isolation. I am hoping to learn a lot more about the operations of this center. I am presently doing volunteer work for them.
