Fruits of Joshua Tree

Fruits of Joshua Tree

Joshua Trees (Yucca brevifolia) can start blooming in mid March, but it all depends on temperature and moisture. Fruits can be seen about a month later. The Joshua Tree, the largest of the yuccas, grows only in the Mojave Desert. Photo taken in May 2008 in Red Rocks, Nevada.
