Soooo many times, I've done this but the consequences on North Guard were the worst! Pretty funny now!

I've done the same thing but had to use an old tree branch. Glad I didn't have to use it to arrest.

BWAHAHA!! I've done the branches on icy trails, or pockets full of rocks to throw down and walk on. I am not a micro spike person! Crampons or nothing. >:)
