| Required some route finding to get around the slippery rocks hidden under the fresh powder on both knobs. With the snowfalling, the views were left to the imagination....a little disappointing as I would think the view of Glacier Gorge from EGK would be pretty nice. | |

| Started at Bear Lake to a light snow. By the time we got to Alberta Falls the snow had stopped, but a strong wind was blowing. We scrambled up the southern slopes, trying to avoid the various rocky cliffs. With a bit of snow on the ground footing was a little difficult at times, but generally the going wasn't too difficult. Nice views from the summit to the south and east, but the western summits were obscured in cloud. Very nice hike/scramble. | |

| This is a good snowshoe hike for beginners in the winter, and a great place to watch the sunrise anytime of year. Total ascents = 10. | |

| Hiked the West Slope of East Glacier Knob and South Slope of West Glacier Knob from the Glacier Gorge Trailhead. I was going to hike up to the summit of Mount Meeker from the Longs Peak Trailhead, but I had developed a cold and so I dropped down the level of effort for the day. I wanted to summit these knobs for a while, and even made a failed attempt in early June of 2008 due to too much snow and no snowshoes. Wonderful views of The Spearhead from East Glacier Knob and Mills Lake from West Glacier Knob. | |
