Nice page. I believe this is the peak we can see from Portland just left of St. H. Isn't this a country highpoint too? Maybe I am thinking of a different one.
The county highpoint is another Goat southwest of this one. Too many Goats! I've added some words to the page to try to avoid confusion between the two.
Nice page. I did climb the other Goat Mtn but your view of the crater and all the activity going on there is vastly superior to what you see (if you can see anything when you're there) from the western Goat Mtn. You think the ones who name mountains and peaks could be more original. : )

Untitled CommentGood work! Didn't know about this one and have to give it a try before too much snow falls.

Untitled CommentBrian, you can get (ask Bob) a great view of St. Helens from the one you can see on the left. It is indeed the county highpoint of Cowlitz county.
Here is the BM of the western Goat + GPS
And the great view we had of Mt. St. Helens the day we were up there. My hand is resting on the Benchmark.
Bob said that Mt. St. Helens would have been there if there had been no fog / rain.
In other words, wait for a sunny day to do this one.

Untitled CommentNice work on this peak!
Not a biggie, but you have a typo in the Overview section, "scambling".
Have a great one....
