Re: Good array..Stephen! Actually, my wife did lie down
next to the flowers. She said she wanted to
be a "flower child." Photo coming soon!

Golden gloryIt was spectacular, these hillsides covered with golden flowers and saquaros. I saw the same scenes on the 14th. Stunning. Thanks.

Re: Golden glory:) ... I'm glad you caught it out of the
corner of your eye, as you were zoom-zoom
zooming down the highway. I've got pulled
over by the DPS and County Mounties on that
particular stretch of roadway. It doesn't
turn into 75-mph until you get to Hwy-87
going north to Payson. Hope you enjoyed
your trip just the same. I'm planning one
up to n. Utah, but won't be till June/July.

Lovely shot!Sky has always been grey in the last 10 days here, spring has not shown the beauty of its colors yet, as I can see the story is completely different in Az!
Cheers Marco.

Re: Lovely shot!I am now looking skyward; holding up my
golden staff and asking the weather to
cooperate for you, and all of Europe. Yes,
April is when we get the little "eye-poppers"
coming up, with the peak bloom in May. Then,
all the flowers fade in the heat of summer,
and turn to brown. It happens every year!
Has to do with the seasonal revolution of
the Earth, or something. Good luck to you,
Marco! Hope springs eternal in the Desert!

Re: Lovely shot!Desert is such a unhospital place, but it has something that makes it more fascinating than other more friendly places.
At least this is true for arid souls.
Cheers Larry.
