Thanks. This photo was taken from the South Kaibab trail, and it was HOT, but I filled up with water/ Gatorade at Phantom Ranch with 4 liters, and it wasn't so bad.....The views became more spectacular as I ascended; that helped!

I did the same hike,

in the middle of summer in 1991.

I stayed overnight at Indian Gardens. During
the night, a Ringtail somehow managed to steal a Hostess Fruit Pie from my pack!

I got mad, but it very seldom HELPS to get
mad. I was awarded with the cool waters of
the Colorado and sightings of several
Bighorn sheep the next day! It was GRAND!!
