Great Sand Dunes

Great Sand Dunes are the tallest sand dunes in North America. They are located in the southern Colorado, San Luis Valley. The dunes were build by winds that blow across the valley, and cover nearly 40 square miles.
It is one of our favorite places to go to visit. My son used to beg me to go camping there at least twice a year. It is also a great place to visit with dogs. Yes, I think that this is the only national park that you can hike with dogs.
Many people come here sledding, sand or ski boarding.

Nice photos, Liba!

I have some great memories of taking our kids there. In June, the creek, sand and mountains create quite the scene. The little waves coming down the creek add to the magic. Thanks for posting it!

Thanks, I think it is a great place to go with kids... this one and Goblin Valley in Utah is another great place for kids... very magical...
