Great Sand Dunes
Great Sand Dunes are the tallest sand dunes in North America. They are located in the southern Colorado, San Luis Valley. The dunes were build by winds that blow across the valley, and cover nearly 40 square miles.It is one of our favorite places to go to visit. My son used to beg me to go camping there at least twice a year. It is also a great place to visit with dogs. Yes, I think that this is the only national park that you can hike with dogs.
Many people come here sledding, sand or ski boarding.
