Nice For Getting in Shape for Bigger Climbs  Sucess!

Fun day hike. There's a great view from the top of the Indian Peaks, though it was rather overcast for our trip. Tried to get over to Bear Peak but we got too late of a start.

Route: Gregory to Greenman  Sucess!

Nice short hike inbetween lengths of South Boulder Peak and Sanitas. Finally climbed Green Mountain after living here for over a year a half. There was quite a bit of snow above 7200'. Great views today of everything from Longs/Meeker to James Peak and Evans/Bierstadt to the South.

Bear-S. Boulder-Bear-Green traverse  Sucess!

"Stuck" out here on a business trip, gosh-darn. First hike in CO, and 'twas a great day. Snow on 98% of the trail, firm enough except the west side of Green, which was a post-holing nightmare. Weather looked like it was going to come in and sock me, but at every potential bail-out point on my loop, it didn't get any closer. Beautiful day bottom to top.

West Ridge  Sucess!

Took the West Ridge Trail from Flagstaff, which is pretty much cheating as it's the shortest route with only about 640 ft gained. Great summit views, great mountain, and I will definitely do it from the bottom up sometime. There was a little more snow & ice than I had anticipated (Boulder had two snowfalls that week) but we managed. A cool hike would be Green's West Ridge to the summit of Green, then back down West Ridge a bit to Green Bear to Bear Peak West Ridge to Bear Peak summit. Maybe next time...

Up Bear, down Greenman  Sucess!

Troy and I hiked to the top by going up Bear Creek and down Greenman (a very nice loop). We had to start and finish at the corner of 28th and Baseline (no car), which added some miles. 7 hrs for the loop, including stops.
