Voted 10/10 | Gabriele, I have been there in my early mountaineering times (1979) and Monte Viso was for a long time my highest mountain. I had fantastic weather without the usual noon fog. You can find some photos incl panos of this tour attached to the Monte Viso page. There was a nice detail with this tour: I had forgotten all my drinking stuff at Sella hut, so I went through right to the summit without drinking or any break and arrived there very exhausted. I was rescued by a very friendly Italian who - after looking into my face - handed me over without any comment an apple ... BTW - I suggest that you add the link to the Monte-Viso-page to your text. Hasn't voted | I've given a look to your photos ... we were not so lucky as modern climbers and hikers that can carry a small, light automatic digital camera ... I used to take photos only on the easy and short routes, on the long ones I thought better having 1 more lt of water than the camera :) but we amused anyway :) ciao | |
