We are approaching Grosse Kinigat / Monte Cavallino from the west. The path goes over the S slopes of Kleine Kinigata / Monte Cavalatto, then it descends on Sandboden, the saddle below the two. The western ferrata will then lead us left and over the easy summit plateau on top.
