You ought to attach this as "related" to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison page.
This is has been made into a wilderness area! Yay! It is now the Gunnison Gorge Wilderness Area, with the NCA on the west side where the access is.
it may as well be wilderness, once you get over the hump not many people access it. It's a great area as well in the inner canyon, very overlooked
