| Crazy how many people climb this mountain. The cables can be very dangerous yet all types and abilities do it. The MOST people I have ever seen hiking a mountain with me that day: hundreds! Miserable 100 degree F day, long, blah trail. Very much appreciated water at the 2 falls. Fun but careful climbing up the 45 degree slab slope for 400 feet. Good views from top. Lots of people sun tanning. | |

| Climbed it with two friends started hiking around 10:30 PM made the summit by sunrise. TO COOL. Had the summit just to us. sat on the edige and watched the sun fill the valley | |

| Absolutely amazing views from the top! The cables were the easiest part of the whole climb the hard part was getting to them. It was a very, very long day of hiking we started at 5:00am in Curry Village. Making the whole hike approximately 19.5 miles. Great hike though, I would go back and do it in a heartbeat! | |

| Did the cables hike with my wife in 97. The best hike I have done in the world. In 99 I lead my climbing partner and his brother up Snake Dike. Felt like I was flying runout 100 feet in a strong wind. | |

| Went back for second annual trip. Same as last time - perfect conditions. Only difference was I woke up a little late and then had to come down that last mile or so in the dark (had a headlamp w/me of course). | |

| Pretty uneventful. Camped in little Yosemite Valley so approach wasn't bad, first pitch was crux, the rest a cruise and 4th class marathon on top. While descending the cables we learned of the events of 9/11 and were in utter disbelief. We hoofed it to camp and got to Yosemite Valley proper, 6 miles, full packs and racks, in 45 minutes! | |

| Classic route. Unfortunately the Valley was smoky, so the views weren't as stellar as they could be. That was one loooong day. | |

| 16 hours round trip from the car. Passed two groups on the rock. Route was BEAUTIFUL!! Cables down was scariest part!! Fat tourists peeling of f and stumbling. | |
