| What a tough hike! *smirk* Very fun drive-by...how nice the property owners are to maintain such a spot for highpointers. | ||

| Visited the Field of Dreams and then drove through miles of corn, hogs, and soybeans to the highpoint of Iowa. Very windy day. Questioned my sanity when I signed the register at the end of a cattle feedbunk. HP #21. | ||

| A very COLD day in December. Made a special trip from Omaha for this. Not necessarily worth the drive; I wish I'd hit it on a trip the previous summer to Okoboji. Snow was deep in the area, had to park on the road so as not to park in landowners on their driveway. Ran through snow 1/4-mile to the "summit," signed the register, snapped some pics, and headed back in the car. It was cold, one of us really had to use the restroom, and the surrounding landscape was not unlike the farm I grew up on. The loess hills of Western Iowa are certainly more beautiful in my opinion, but part of the beauty of highpointing, as I understand it, is traveling to those tucked-away corners. | ||

| Not much to report here. Still sort of enjoyed this highpoint. Seemed kind of cool for a place in the middle of nowhere really. Ate some ice cream in Le Mars, the so called "Ice Cream Capital of the World", on the way there. | ||

| The owners are super-friendly! I can't imagine owing this property and having people call all the time (maybe it's not all the time?). Anyway, we should all be grateful for their kindness. It's a cool place. | ||

| Very appropriate that Iowa's highpoint is on a farm. Perfect! I like this one because it is quaint and the people that own it are very nice and good representatives of Iowans in general (friendly and down-to-Earth). The keychain is cool, too (but make sure you pay for it). | ||

| Hot and sunny on summit day. Had to hike about 50 yards, though we could have parked closer. Beautiful views of cornfields. The Stetlers (owners) are very nice. Commemorative keychains available for successful summiters | ||

| I walked 200 yards to the summit, with a clear day and great views of the Iowa farmland. This was my second state highpoint. I have now done 21 highpoints. | ||
