I've always wondered what that chunk of rock was. Very nice page with great info. I was wondering also, if you can get to Hidden Valley from Taylors Canyon. At the bridge, before the main trail crosses the creek, I've seen a trail leading straight east following the creek. Does that go to Hidden Valley?
Thanks for the feedback! Amazingly enough, out of all the times I've been up that trail, I've never gone up Taylor's Canyon. But looking the other way off of Malan, I didn't see an obvious trail going up the side of the mountain and the topo shows the trail running along the creek and never really going up. Have to give it a try!
