"Life in the city can make you crazy,
For sounds of the sand and the sea.
Life in a high-rise can make you hungry,
For things that you can't even see.
Fly away, fly away, fly away ...."
A conspicuous sight and sound of the Southwestern deserts, the Cactus Wren is the largest wren in North America. Although it can be found in urban backyards, it is a true bird of the desert and can survive without freestanding water.
My wife was born on an island in SE Asia - we'll be flying there shortly.
For crying out loud! Hope our arms don't get tired. PEACE.
