What ?

I didn't know Charleston had a crash site on it. How is that Greeter job comin' along???
It must be pretty busy this time of the year.
In regards to your photo - is this where they had a wildfire? I think we often forget how high Charleston peak really is. Keep on going, Susan.

Rain and wreckage

In general the Spring Mountains do not receive a lot of rain, which is good when hiking at altitude (don't care much for accompanying lightning). We have a monsoon season, where you best be off the summit by 11:00 am or so. At this point in the photograph we are just getting above the tree line. Right now there is a light dusting of snow. On the other side (east) of this ridge, if you scramble down a bit, there is more wreckage to check out, but you have to be careful.
