Viburnum lantanoides. Moose forage on these. The berries are eaten by people too - haven't tasted it myself yet. The broad, ribbed leaves are fairly distinctive, but the easiest way to recognize this plant is from the end buds, which look like hands held with the palms together. 3 September 2007
