I had the picture posted by dkantola (http://www.summitpost.org/images/72878.jpg) on my computer desktop for a long time. Looking forward to attempt Hood this winter.

	Hasn't voted	dkantola- The picture was taken on February 9th. It was a beautiful day with no wind, no clouds, and amazingly, almost no one on the mountain. We were making fresh tracks up the Hogsback and through the gates. I have experienced both ends of the spectrum (weather and crowds) on that mountain though, so that day was truely a pleasure! Headed back to Hood in February. Hope I get the same conditions :-) Maybe that is asking a little too much!

	Hasn't voted	I was referring to this one of mine. We were planning to go up the same day you took this photo, but postponed it one day due to the avy forecast. I was at Timberline 2/7 and 2/8 and watched wind slabs forming on 2/8 when it was really windy. That week had four consecutive days of great weather (Mon-Thu) and would have been perfect for something longer like Rainier.
