Hohe Weiße showing its impressive SE face and east ridge

According to my guidebook, the route along the E ridge all the way up is UIAA grade IV+, but the SE face is only grade III. I would never have guessed that, looking at it from this angle! As it happened, I had already been on top of the Hohe Weiße several years ago. But I had followed the easiest route, from the north, along a very steep hiking trail. It was amazing to finally see the mountain up close from the other side. 15 July 2013.
