| Started at 4:30am in the dark, enjoyed a beautiful sunrise high on the mountain and reached the summit at 7:30 at perfect weather conditions. Snow conditions were tricky but skiing was possible almost to the car. | |

| I've been two times on the summit of the Göll, once in early July 1991 going from the Carl-von-Stahl hut via Hohes Brett to the summit and down to the Purtschellerhaus. As there was still quite a lot of old snow left, it was a bit tricky here and there. The second time was two years later when I did the tour Kehlsteinhaus - Mannlgrat (an easy via ferrata and lots of fun!)- Hoher Göll - Hohes Brett - Jenner, which was fantastic. | |

| What a long day! Started early from Purtschellerhaus via Schustersteig to the top of Hoher Göll and were already knocked out. The way led on via Brettriedel to Hohes Brett and on to Stahlhaus. A really long day (12 hours) and a really exciting day! I'm looking forward the next time :-) | |

| Nice traverse from Rossfeldstrasse via Purtschellerhaus and Salzburger Steig. Descended the Mannlgrat to the Kehlsteinhaus where I met up with my family. | |

| I started late at noon from Rossfeld. It was hot and no clouds were visible. I had planned to take the Schusterroute upwards and to descend through the "Kamin". But too much hard snow on the way to the "Kamin" made me change my plan. I reached the summit at 2:30pm and enjoyed the great view. Meanwhile some small clouds had appeared but still the sun was shining, it was warm and calm. Nevertheless I felt that these small clouds might turn into a thunderstorm and started to descend. When I reached the Schusterroute I noticed some fog and very fine raindrops (still people were on the summit) and ten minutes later the air was filled with thunder and hail made it really uncomortably. Fortunately I found a cave where I waited till the weather turned a bit better and continued my descend. | |

| Starting very early in the morning (6:00) at the Rossfeld I arrived at 7:30 am on top. Wonderful morning light on the surrounding mountains. | |

| Our aim was to traverse the Goell from Purtschellerhaus to Stahlhaus. Because it was late in the year, Purtschellerhaus was closed and we started from Ahornkaser. Already on the ascent to Purtschellerhaus there was snow and ice on the trail. So was the route in the rock. Later on the summit was covered in clouds. Because the weather report forecasted rain and it was our first time at Goell and we didn't know the further route we returned. We thought that the conditions on the south side of Goell would be better. We returned to the car, drove to Hinterbrand and hiked up to Stahlhaus. The next day we did the route from Torrenerjoch. From "Hohes Brett" on there was quite a lot of snow in the route and the markings were hard to see. Fortunately there was another team about half an hour in front of us. That helped a lot - we could follow their trail and knew that it's possible to go on. The snow covered and slippery groove was a bit hard but the following snowfield was so deep that it was easy to cross! It took us 4 hours to reach the summit - there was no cloud in the sky and we enjoyed the sun! The way back was much easier in our own track and in about 8 hours with lots of breaks in the bright sun we finished our "winter ascent" of "Hoher Goell! :-) | |
