On the summit of the volcano Villarrica at 9,338 feet (2,847 m) just south of Pucan, Chile. Wayne & I reached the summit just after sunrise and were awarded a whole hour of exploring before the commercial trips started to show up. That is NOT normal cloud - water vapor seeps out of the rocks around this lovely lady and is laced with chemicals. Some of the main ones being hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide.... nasty. But that is what you get for standing on top of a very live volcano!
