Use the tribal packer for the Ink Wells trail from the Cold Springs trailhead.
Route Description
After 4 miles on the Ink Wells trail Scenic Pass, on the crest of Horse Ridge, is reached. From here the route is cross-country, up and down, along the mostly hikable but exposed (to wind and storm) and entirely above timberline crest of Horse Ridge. After about 10 miles the summit is reached.
Essential Gear
Overnight gear is likely needed as well as above timberline and off-trail gear. Snow will also be encountered.
