Horsethief Basin

Looking west from the pass between Horsethief Peak and Switchback Peak (Angel's Staircase) at Horsethief Basin, and, interestingly enough a small airplane parked in a meadow. A couple days later we hiked back out through this area and the plane was gone. The meadows to the left at grassy mounds with streams all over and there is no way the pilot landed or took off there. He/she must have done it all via the short meadow to the right of the plane. There is a significant dropoff where the trees start to its right too. Would have liked to have seen the take off! 9/15/13. (Click on the image to blow it up, the plane is almost dead center in the photo.)
