Hotlum Glacier | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
View of the Hotlum Glacier from above the highest moraine and below the lower headwall. Unfortuantely the view is a bit hazy due to wildfires in the coastal ranges at the time, but the ice falls and most of the route are clearly visible.

Hasn't voted | Thanks Bubba Suess. We started at Brewer Creek TH and followed the trail until the trees started to thin out and we could see the glacier. From there directly up the large moraine that sticks out and begins at 8800 feet. Scrambled about from there on occasional use trails to this point at about 10,500-10,600 feet. There is also a use trail south of this approach traversing the moraine but better for the way down due to the sand.
It's a great spot and I want to go back! | | Posted Dec 11, 2012 12:31 pm |
