Howser Towers - Bugaboos

Howser Towers - Bugaboos

This is a picture of the west side of the Howser Spires in the Bugaboos that I took from a helicopter (I used to work in the area). It's not the best quality photo but photos from this angle are rare. The highest spire is the North Tower, the middle spire (and lowest) is the Central Tower, and the right spire is the South Tower. Pigeon Spire can also been seen to the right of the South Tower in the background. The Becky/Chouinard route goes up the obvious long buttress on the the South Tower.

Re: Amazing Shot

Thanks - the focus is a bit soft, as it was taken through a window.

Yes, the Becky/Chouinard is one of the best known routes in the Bugs - it's one of the "50 classics of North America".

Re: Nice perspective

I used to work in this area, and have flown by the Howser Towers many times in a helicopter - I wish I had of taken more pictures (and also wish I had of opened the window). You can see the B/C route nicely from here though.. Cheers!
