| The day before I tried to hike up to the summit, but was turned back around 13,000 feet due to approaching thunderstorm. So headed back and tried again the next day. This time the weather held and I was successful. | ||

| This was our second attempt on Huron. Our first was derailed by a route finding problem. Climbed the standard route this time. Got schooled by a girl about 8 running up the hill. A very nice view, with a nice trail! | ||

| jhansen007 | By the moonlight ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 26, 2007 | |
| Solo hike in an almost full moon. Left the 4WD trailhead above Winfield at 1230am. Summitted around 320am (with several stops to set up the tripod and camera). Nice and bright above treeline -- no need for headlamps. Watched the moonset from the summit--very neat experience except that meant it was extra dark on the way down. The trail is excellent and you can tell some hard work has been put into it. | ||

| My first 14'er for 2005. Great way to start off the season! Went a second time with a friend and hiked through fog the entire time. Guess they'll have to go back for the views. | ||

| I climbed this peak with two friends from 14ers.com. Great weather and view of the Apostles! I felt a little tired and behind the other guys because I had just arrived from sea level 2 days earlier. | ||

| Had to walk the 4WD road, so a bit of a long hike. Really nice trail from TH, though, thanks to the CTI's hard work. Great views all along the way and at the summit. Rain threatened from about 12:30 on, but only sprinkled until we reached the car. | After reading HokieJim's trail report we decided to use the same route and had a great hike bagging 2 summits in one day! A few threatening clouds came, went and came again but we had a good 30-45 minutes at the summit and got to our cars just before the rain came! Awesome views. | ||

| HokieJim | Tour de Huron ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 2, 2007 | |
| Ascended Brown's Peak first via the Lulu Gulch trail, traversed over to Huron, and descended the standard route. Snow conditions allowed for a nice 1000' glissade down the NW face! | ||
