Birds of A Feather

Birds of A Feather

Arizona is home to almost the entire population of desert nesting bald eagles in the United States. The eagles live along rivers and lakes in the upper Sonoran desert. In 1988, less than 30 nesting pairs lived in Arizona. Today, that population has expanded to 43 nesting pairs in 2006. Here's a recent photo of an "Eagle Watcher" holding a young eaglet for banding along Arizona's Verde River. Birds Of A Feather .. "Birds of a feather flock together, And so will pigs and swine; Rats and mice will have their choice, And so will I have mine." April 15, 2011
