So you ride yourselves
over the fields and you
make all your animal deals
and your wise men don't
know how it feels to be
THICK as a BRICK.

Just south of Beasley Flat, the Verde River of central Arizona takes
a turn through a narrow limestone gorge.
Ancient floods of lava (basalt) are indirectly responsible for the
chalky (limestone) deposits throughout Verde Valley, Arizona.
Evidence points to a lava dam on the ancestral Verde River, which
flooded the entire valley with an ancient lake some 8 million years ago.
It's thought that the Sedona airport is located on the original lake bottom.
BOTTOM'S UP !!!
Please note the Prickly Pear cactus clinging to the rock!
