A new appreciation

Seeing this picture originally made this peak look rather benign (open slopes). This is about the only area where there is such a slope as the rest of the mountain guards the summit very nicely. Also, there is an advantage to going when the snow covers up the brush, a lesson Bob and I learned this past weekend.

Hey that's great, glad you guys made it up there. I do remember wondering what the route would be like without snow cover and thinking it would be unpleasant. Hope my route info worked for you, not sure what paths might not work without snow.
