Theoturm! [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Theoturm!
The west face of the beautiful leaning (to the far side on this photo) spire of Theoturm as seen from the west face of Himmelsleiter. The latter can be "seen" in the left of the picture - both formations are very close together. June 14th 2006

Looks a bit like Utah, doesn't it? Though the tree on top betrays its origin :-)

Yes it does (incl. the rock's apparent texture & color). Amazing area Gangolf!

Glad you liked it Don. I was actually quite stunned when I came around the corner on my ledge and there it was looming above me. The distance to the ground is about twice or three times as high as the part you see here - and not quite as vertical :-)

KrystoThe Theoturm at the Lämmerfels ...

Voted 10/10

I had done a hike on the Lämmerfels, in this cool dry and sunny tuesday, 28th August 2007 ! And I so had seen the scenery that you were taking on this rock, with your personal visit of the Lämmerfels (remaining at The 14th June 2006 ... ). I had enjoyed this rock too and too much ! Exceptionnal ! Divine ! Atomical ! There's finally no words, for describing the Lämmerfels, which is one of my loved Palatinate-rocks ...
