Ostrá (2349 m) in High Tatras

Ostrá (2349 m) in High Tatras (there are other peaks called Ostrá outside of High Tatras) seen from the summit of Furkotský štít (2405 m). You can see Furkotské saddle (2277 m) between our summit and Ostrá. Ostrá has a south crotch going down with remarkable tower of Kozia stena. Krátka (2370 m) is on the right of the photo. In the background you can see the main ridge of western part of Lower Tatras with all major peaks. Behind them, some 70 - 100 kilometres far away, there are mountains of Slovenske rudohorie - namely Klenovský vepor (1338 m), Polana (1458 m) and Lubietovský vepor (1277 m). The inversion clouds behind those mountains is above the state of Hungary. Date of the photo: 11th october 2008

Fine scene

no doubt, Tomas, anyway why not alter the headline into, say, "Over Ostra in the High Tatras" (sorry again but my mind is a bit Anglo-Saxon; far from a 100% though - see my exchange with David at my Salamander pic:-)
