Now this is fascinating...I have been on Rainier several times, and I
have never seen a "lens cloud" appear off to
the side of the mountain like that.
Usually, these clouds form over the TOP of Rainier. This is MOST unusual!
It seems that the north winds must have been
strong on this particular day ???
