Inside of Ralf Forster Hut. Aug/2000. The plaque on the door is in memory of the Vanderbilt son that was lost on the Wishbone Arete. His logbook/diary was found in the hut but his body never was found. See Vanderbilt Article I read somewhere that there are 20 unrecovered bodies on Robson but that is unconfirmed - I need to check. The success rate on Robson is quite low as usually only 20 or 30 people summit per year and some years none. People come from around the world to try it and yet more people summit Everest in any given year.

I read somewhere that there are 20 unrecovered bodies on Robson but that is unconfirmed - I need to check.

You don't really mean going and looking for all the bodies. Or, do you? I'm kidding of course. But, how does one check things like this?

Accidents in Canada

Marc,
"I need to check" was a note to myself that I forgot to remove. The Alpine Club of Canada has an online searchable site(currently offline) which had all the data/statistics for Mountaineering Accidents in Canada. The Park Wardens also have yearly stats on accidents, rescues, deaths and missing persons. I know some of the wardens who might give me the data.
I was just curious and it is something to do when I have more time.
