[ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Jbel Toubkal from Timesguida n\'Ouanoukrim
1 April 1999. Solo on Timesguida n'Ouanoukrim, a 4-thousand-meter mountain in the High Atlas of Morocco. The image shows the SW face of Toubkal from the second highest mountain of the range. It was a dry year as you can see below: there was almost no snow at 4.089 m / 13,415 ft.

I remember well that ascent. It was hard to climb Ras and Timesguida alone sinking in that soft snow. Timesguida is to the south from Ras and I ascended the first before the second. Both are to the SW of Jbel Toubkal. I've climbed Ras and Timesguida 2 times each and Jbel Toubkal 3. All ascents were in the 90s
