My friend Joe Lang (70) of Saint Cloud, Minnesota took up mountain climbing after he retired. Some of his summits since then include Kilimanjaro, Mont Blanc, Mount Rainier, Mount Whitney, Boundary Peak, several mountains in Colorado, and Granite Peak in Montana. Joe has plans to do many more. Joe is pictured signing the register on Mount Humphreys in Arizona. October 9, 2005.

The meadows (Inner Basin) on the east side of
Humphreys is a GREAT place to photograph butterflies !!! But, I don't think they appear until after the snow melts.

Can't you hold off coming to AZ until June???
