A Tougher Climb Than You May Think

Doing Grays & Torreys in one day will take the endurance of a super moutaineer & a very early start at the trail head, made nearly impossible by the condition of the road to the trailhead. Trying to get to the trail head via mountain bike is also difficult. The road to the trailhead is very steep in places. I consider myself to be in above average condition for my age and I had a difficult time riding my mountain bike to the trailhead. Why the deep ruts and potholes in the road aren't filled is a mystery to me, particularly when there are occupied cabins along the road. A few truckloads of gravel would repair all difficult areas.
