The steep east slopes of McMillan dropping into the valley of Cement Creek, a recently opened ski lift known as Silverton Mountain goes up the slopes on the other side of the valley, Handies (14048 ft), Emery (13310 ft) and Peak 13330 on the left, from the east summit

Hasn't voted | I don't know how exactly this works. The lift goes up what looks like an avalanche chute on the left. I think you then do extreme skiing on the back of the mountain. Voted 10/10 | My office mate is going to this ski area later this spring. Lift tickets are very expensive and by reservation only. The lift ticket includes a manditory guide. I believe that there is only 1 lift. The skiing is pretty extreme. My office mate says it's the closest she'll ever get to heli-skiing. | | Posted Feb 24, 2004 12:43 pm |
