Well, Begunjscica...

belongs according to our classification to Kamniske Alpe and not to Karavanke. Thanks for this picture!

Re: Well, Begunjscica...

??? That must be something new Vid, I've never heard of that before. I have Kamniske Alpe guide and it is not included inside. For me it is silly to put Begunjscica to Kamniske Alpe when it is clearly a part of Karavanke, just little bit in front of the main crest, connected with by Zelenica pass. It doesn't have any touching points with Kamniske Alpe, which rise on the other side of Trzic valley.

Re: Well, Begunjscica...

That's all true, but still, I have never heard that Begunjscica would belong to Karavanke, neither in school, neither later. Kamniske Alpe begin with the crest at Zirovnica (south of Zavrsnica creek) and run over Dobrca and Begunjscica towards east. Stol, Vrtaca and Kosuta belong to Karavanke. Silly, but that's how it is. Im very positive to be right. Still, many mountain guides (S. Klinar etc.) describe Begunjscica and even Dobrca among other peaks of Karavanke. For me, this mess would be resolved if Kamniske Alpe would begin with Storzic massif.
