Excellent page! I find the unexplored mountains very interesting.. I also really enjoyed your website, words cannot describe how incredible and inspiring it is!
SP is funny like that, randomly mooching around (should be working but hey there you go) and come across a page that nobody's commented on for 7 months. Does look like a beautiful area, think I'll go looking for that trip report! I read a short quote from Chris Bonnington once; in response to a question about which mountain he was mostlooking forward to climbing, he mention an unnamed one somewhere that he'd seen while climbing another peak. He then went on to say that he wasn't going to tell anyone where it was so that he'd be the first to climb it! I wonder what proportion of mountains have been summited, or whether they will all be one day? Do some get overlooked for not being exciting enough?
Thanks for the comment.
I hope to find some time to write a trip report one day, but that one will take a lot of time to write. It was a long and eventful journey.
Thanks for the vote and comment.
The strange shape in combination with the smooth snow, makes it a very beautiful peak.
The reason why no-one has climbed it is because it's so far into the wilderness. Almost impossible to reach.

If there is one place I want to go back to, it´s to Kangzhangri. A strange and eerie place with a beautiful peak in the middle of nowhere.

Hedin was very happy he survived and you're right; he (and we) had a very close call out/up there.

It's a very expensive peak, but if you just reach it, it's at least 300km (the way the crow flies) to the next human being, so...
:-)
