| I'd been looking at this one since first visiting the big island back in June of '02 and finally got the right combination of weather and time to get it done. First day recon took five hours RT, with a partner, and we got within about 1/2 mile of the summit but had to retreat due to time constraints. With good beta and better weather I went back alone the next day and did the RT in under four hours. Beautiful place but be prepared to get wet - and seriously muddy! | |
