Kings Peak Wilderness? | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Kings Peak is supposed to be a wilderness area. We chuckled about that after seeing large flocks of sheep and beef cows grazing in the area. These sheep were violating the LEAVE NO TRACE ethic.

Voted 10/10 | Yes, they took the summit plaque off of Kings Peak that honored Clarence King because it was not supposed to be in a wilderness area but then sheep are allowed to roam all over the place. We had a herd to go through on the trail back to the TH where we met you and the others. Moose yes, sheep no. My vote anyway. : ) | | Posted Mar 23, 2007 4:50 pm |
