While I agree Kinsey deserves to have a summit named after him, this one is just a dumpster. The locals who live at Lake Cavanaugh may already have their own name for the peak.
It looks like you did it the long way. There is a shorter route from the southwest (the last quarter mile is cross country but not brushy, or wasn't back then in circa 2007). A good peak with a bike.
I agree that Kinsey deserves a better peak, but how many decent peaks are left that do not have an official or unofficial name? I figured this was exactly the kind of area that Kinsey used to run around in, making it somewhat appropriate. By no means am I stuck on this name - if I hear of a better one from a local or SP member, I will change it. Thanks for pointing out the west route - for some reason I didn't even notice it. I'll make note of it on the page.
