Lake Emma Chutes

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Lake Emma Chutes
This route photograph shows the Lake Emma Chutes route on Mount Democrat's south side. This photo was taken in early fall from the summit of Mount Buckskin, so the snow coverage in the photo is much, much less than would be necessary for skiing. The lake in the foreground is Lake Emma, and if you are skiing this route in spring, it will be frozen and covered in snow. The red line exits the photo to Kite Lake Camping.

"The bizarre trend in mountaineers is not the risk they take, but the large degree to which they value life. They are not crazy because they don't dare, they're crazy because they do. These people tend to enjoy life to the fullest, laugh the hardest, travel the most, and work the least."   --Lisa Morgan
