As a wee kid, my parents brought me to Lake Tahoe numerous times. I looked up,took in the mountains. Years later, I skied resorts all around the lake, and have visited the tops of several of the listed peaks with an eye toward visiting more soon. In my eyes, the mountains that rim the south side of the lake, around Emerald Bay in particular, are among the most striking in the world that I've seen.

Winter 2011
Visited all these during the winter of 2011, partly as an excuse to not drive too far from home on the weekends. Great trips and views from all of them, in all kinds of snow conditions.
