Langkofel North Wall with Fresh Snow

The North Wall of Sassolungo / Langkofel (3181m) as seen from the village of San Christina (1450m) early in the morning. The north Wall starts from an elevation of 2000 meters which makes it a vertical wall of almost 1200 meters high. The picture was taken on a beautiful day following up 24 hours of rain in the valley which fortunately fell as snow higher on the mountain. Dolomites Mountains, Italy, april 2010

Thanks! Because of the snowfall the night before the mountain looked great!It was easy took take a nice photo of it :-)
