Laramie Peak, Wyoming

Laramie Peak, Wyoming

June 15, 2008. I froze my feet hiking through these snow drifts.... This photo was taken near the top of Laramie Peak (although the summit itself was dry). Elevation 10,272 feet, the highest peak in the Laramie Range.

I'm willin'

to bet you saw lots of Elk tracks (or signs of
elk in there!) Nice photo, and it looks so
different from the 'Las Vegas' area!!

Re: I'm willin'

I saw a lot of deer and antelope on my trip "home", but no elk this time. I lived in Wyoming for many years and never summited any mountains until the Grand Teton in 2004 and this one this year. One day, I would like to climb Gannett....Wyoming is beautiful in a different way from the Mojave Desert, definitely....Thank you so much for the post!

Good luck on your outdoor adventures!
I'll try my best to have an enjoyable weekend
in the central Arizona heat!
