Re: WowThanks for the comment and your vote. I was blown away by all the pics that Matt posted on his hike along with those of a couple other guys who took some really nice shots. This one however, was the pick of the litter.

Did it again, Dean ...Surprised us with another wonderful photo! This has the FEEL of a GREAT Christmas card. Did you know ... Reindeer ARE related to MOOSE? Thanks!

Re: Did it again, Dean ...It does have the feel of a Christmas card. I hate to disappoint you but there aren't any moose or reindeer in the Enchantments (not that you thought there were) although
reindeer would be right at home up there. Alas, only mountain goats have dominion in this area. Thanks for your vote and comments.

Thanks. Thanks for all the positive comments. And thank-you to Dean for posting it. I was surprised the photo was so popular, since it doesn't have the exotic location or dramatic composition of many of the other POTWs. But maybe that's what works best about it. It just looks like a place you'd anyone would enjoy being at.

Re: Thanks.Welcome Matt to the ranks of Summitpost members. I have posted several pics of yours to the "Enchantments" page and if you check out the photos listed there, you will see pics from others that you know like Tazz and Eric Sandbo, Martin Cash and Bob Bolton to name a few.
You might consider posting your trip report to the page using the "trip report" box on the left side of the page.
I look forward to you posting many more of your pics here as you have so many cascade peaks to your credit.

Re: Hey?!I practically lived in this area for 30 years as I couldn't stay away. The Enchantments near Leavenworth Washington are an amazing area but
now I'm enjoying the desert peaks and learning about their great beauty. Love those Nevada/Arizona mountains now. Thank you for your nice comments.
