Lassen Peak

View of Lassen from Lake Helen. Highway 89 had just been plowed to the Bumpass Hell parking area, where we parked before backpacking in to camp in the summit crater. There is a brief period each year before 89 is completely plowed when camping is allowed on the peak, but you are not forced to ski in from the south entrance station.
