Deciding between AF Twin Peaks, Nebo, and Deseret. Any recommendations? - I see you've done all three. Maybe leaning towards AF since it's my birth county. (By the way, not being a diehard hp'er is a sign of good mental health!)
They are all good choices. AF Twin Peaks is the easiest out of the three. It has a little knife-edge scrambling but isn't difficult. It should only take half a day to climb. Deseret Peak is a beautiful mountain but requires a longer drive. I climbed Nebo recently and it was a great hike. I was surprised to find the trail to be in such good condition.
Thanks, Nelson! So far, Gerry Roach, Bob Martin, Dave Covill & John Mitchler have become involved in the discussion. Only Bob thinks Lavender is higher, but he was the most certain about it. The others believe Hesperus but are less sure. At least, that is my interpretation. I suspect there may be some more surveying by them this summer and I will update the page when I hear anything.
Thanks, Dean! In the end, I may have "completed" the state on a peak that ends up not being a hp at all. We'll see if the boys with the 5X handlevels can sort it out!

Untitled CommentGreat work on both the main and rolling stone route page. Hard to believe there is an elevation debate in this day and age!
